Once Upon A Read A Thon
One of the fun book blogs I follow is doing a super fun Read A Thon this coming week. I figured I would jump in on this band wagon since my life is reading books. Even though I know there are other people out there reading all the time like me, it is fun to know that this week we will all be reading with one thing in mind. Heres what Lori says about her Read A Thon:
I have the button for the Read A Thon on the right side of the blog if anyone would like to check it out. Here is what I will be reading:

by Sarah Rees Brennan
by Richelle Mead
by Claudia Gray
Those are my three picks for the three days. I'll be reading Blood Promise last as I had a hard time reading the first three in the series. Its a good series just not fast enough for me. The last 150 pages or so I read in no time. I hope everyone comes to join in on the fun!
*please note that all book titles link to Goodreads for an outline of the book*
Update:
I just finished The Demons Lexicon and it was FAB!! The story follows a boy named Nick who in his own weird way is a little swoon worthy. Nick and his brother Alan live with their crazy mother in England. Both of them fight demons and are trying to keep there mother safe from the evil magician Black Author. They move from place to place all the time as magicians find them. At the beginning of the book Nick believes that they've finally found a place they can live longer than 3 months. That is until one night two strangers show up. Mae and her little brother Jamie have come to Nick and Alan for help because Jamie has been marked by a demon. And as luck would have both the boys know this odd brother and sister duo. Alan has a big crush on Mae and therefore he feels even more of a need to help them. The journey really begins when one of Black Authors messengers comes to visit and tells them that he "wants it back now". Nick is lead to believe that the "it" is a talisman that his mother wears to keep her alive. When the 5 of them all move to London Nicks world really starts to unravel. Soon Nick will learn of all the lies that have been told to him, from Alan, his whole life.
Jamie was by far my favorite character! He was so funny and snarky.
Mae was fearless and was totally devoted to helping her little brother no matter the costs.
Olivia, the Mum, was hard to take at first. But once you learn the secrets you see why she is the way she is.
Alan was great! He has a heart of gold and the lies he tells are really all out of love.
Nick is interesting. I love the way Sarah wrote him. You really learn to love him and feel bad for him. Hes beyond fearless but cold hearted. Hes a great character with so many sides.
All in all I LOVED this book!
